We had a small snafu with our web hosts over the weekend during a migration, and were down for a day or so, but we’re back! Sorry about that guys!
Things have been quiet around the studio late – we’re still finishing the move and getting settled and taking our last breather time off before the good weather comes (hopefully soon)!
However, I (Robert) have been working on sharing a lot more of the interesting trends and tidbits we track from our favorite blogs. Rather than clog the blog (ouch), I’m publishing exclusively to our Twitter feed and Facebook pages for more updates, and don’t forget to say hello!
For our current (and prospective) clients, many of you have had a chance to shoot with us in our studio, down in Pioneer Square. We’ve loved the space, which is in the basement (original street level) of the Grand Central building. However, the one regret we’ve had is that it’s a bit dark, and our “back room” can get a bit damp during the winter time With our lease coming up for renewal, we started looking into spaces that are a little more inviting.
I’m happy to announce that we’ve signed a lease for space in the old INS building, which is between SODO and the International District, and only about 0.5 miles from our current studio. One of the biggest benefits of our move is that we now have a single, larger, space to shoot in, complete with 1930′s stone work and beautiful floor to ceiling windows (aka not in a basement). The entire building is being converted into artists workshops and studios, which means we’ll have lots of cool neighbors to hang out with too.
The landlord is putting the finishing touches on our space now, ahead of an anticipated first move early next year. I’ll post some pictures as soon as we get back in to the space!
As the fall winds down, the pictures keep coming! Another sneak peak this week for Matt and Therese. Ceremony was outside at West Montlake Park, with continuing festivities down at Blue Ribbon Cooking School on the shore of Lake Union. Enjoy!
Another sneak peak for another fabulous couple! The venue (415 Westlake) was nothing short of spectacular with flowers and design by Duet Designs. There was so much thought put into Erin and Matt’s choices for the day: sustainable food from Herban Feast, wine selections from places they have visited, and venues that remind them of home…
The final edits are almost complete, but we wanted to share another sneak peak for Jet & Don. Enjoy!
Ashley & Josh are such a sweet couple. After rescheduling for rain (surprise!) and finally making it through the crazy traffic and closed roads in the International District, we had some good picture weather and a good time shooting in the studio. We can’t wait to share in the joy of their wedding day.
Our “Off Beat Brides” have been a blast this year! Therese and Matt, among others, have led us to some fun places, including the bar across the street from our studio for a celebratory cocktail and some amazing murals in Pioneer Square. Cheers Therese & Matt, can’t wait for the big day!
Erin and Matt have history in the theater, but you’d never know it’s back stage. They were hamming it up like the best of them and we hope they had as much fun as we did!
Here’s a sneak peek at Darcy and Ian’s wedding photos. Both families were in from the east coast and it seems everyone had a great time, including Robert and me! Hope the honeymoon was fabulous.
The girls started the day watching classic Disney movies while they did hair, makeup and enjoyed each other’s company. If only these pictures could sing…you should have heard them all! The boys went to the barber shop for a good old fashion shave and low key pre-wedding morning.
The ceremony and reception were at DeLille Cellars and we finished out the night with a quick trip to Kerry Park for some night photography with the sky line.
Enjoy!
